Find where an IPv4 or IPv6 address is registered and what name it resolves back to.

What can an IP address tell me?

The provider's registered city/country, the network that owns the address (its AS organization), and — when set — a reverse DNS name that often hints at the hosting company. It can't reliably reveal an individual person or street address.

IPv4 vs IPv6?

IPv4 looks like 8.8.8.8; IPv6 is longer (2001:4860::8888) and newer. Both work here.
